From the Trainer's EDGE Syllabus:
The Trainer’s EDGE replaces the Trainer Development Conference (BSA 500) as the required train-the-trainer course for Wood Badge and  National Youth Leader Training staffs. The purpose of the Trainer’s EDGE course is to provide and help develop the platform skills of a trainer. It is meant to supplement the practice offered through Wood Badge and NYLT staff development, with a focus on the participant, while raising the level of skill a trainer brings to the staff experience. Only practice can polish these skills, but this course is intended to "train the trainer" on behaviors and resources while offering hands-on experience in methods and media.

Each participant will make a presentation to their patrol on a Scouting topic of their choice. Pick a topic broad enough to allow you to incorporate what you learn. Each participant will be limited to 10-12 minutes. Please bring any materials and equipment needed to support your presentation with you to the course.

There is a limit of 48 participants for this training. Please enroll early to be sure of a place in this session. Registration deadline is February 9, 2010.
